Making Greensburg Green
In May 2007, a (DEVASTATE) tornado struck Greensburg. The tornado, which covered an area larger than the city itself, resulted in the (DESTROY) of 95% of the buildings there and the death of 13 people. After that, most of the residents left the city, because they had nowhere to live. Emergency services arrived as well as volunteers from nearby towns to help, providing the residents with food and mobile homes. During the summer that followed, residents held weekly meetings to decide on what they were going to do for their town.
